Lionjanga suspended from PPADB

The executive chairman of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB), Armando Lionjanga has been sent on an indefinite leave of absence pending the determination of his corruption case at the Gaborone Village Magistrates Court.

Israel Joseph has been appointed to act in his place. Joseph told Mmegi that he has been appointed to act in Lionjanga's place till the conclusion of the case. 

Finance Minister Baledzi Gaolathe, who is the appointing authority, did not want to say whether Lionjanga has been suspended or voluntarily asked to be placed on leave. "My comment is no comment," said the minister.
