Letsile, Camera, Action! SuperSport Gears Up for Glittering Botswana Golden Grand Prix

SuperSport to partner with free-to-air official broadcaster, BTV, to bring stars such as Letsile Tebogo, Gabby Thomas, Andre De Grasse and Ferdinand Omanyala to screens across the continent for the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver event.

SuperSport is excited to partner with free-to-air official broadcaster, Botswana Television (BTV), to bring the hotly anticipated FNB Botswana Golden Grand Prix live to African viewers. Taking place on Sunday 26 April 2026 at the National Stadium in Gaborone, Botswana, the FNB Botswana Golden Grand Prix is the country’s premier World Athletics Continental Tour Silver event, hosted by none other than global sprint sensation, Letsile Tebogo. Tebogo is the reigning Olympic 200m champion after claiming gold in Paris 2024. He will be joined at the meet by his illustrious teammates, with whom he won silver for Botswana’s 4X100m men’s relay team in Paris. Botswana’s top track and field athletes, led by Tebogo (100m & 200m), also include 2025 World 400m champion Collen Kebinatshipi, Bayapo Ndori (400m), Tshepiso Masalela (800m) Kethobogile Haingura (800m) and Oratile Nowe (800m). They have been dubbed the country’s “golden generation”.
