Vice President and Finance Minister, Ndaba Gaolathe, is in Lagos, Nigeria where he has held talks with Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest person, who is currently looking to list his oil refinery giant in more stock exchanges across the continent.

According to information shared on government’s official social media, Gaolathe held talks with Dangote earlier in the week as part of Botswana’s efforts to deepen intra-African economic partnerships.

The talks, described as early-stage engagements, covered co-investment opportunities and capital market participation, including possible listings on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE). Officials said the engagements align with priorities under National Development Plan 12 and the Botswana Economic Transformation Programme.
