Letlhakane toddler drowns in swimming pool

*Parents were "busy" inside the house
FRANCISTOWN: Letlhakane Police are investigating an incident in which a one-year-old toddler drowned in an estimated 1.2 metre deep swimming pool on Tootutebe farm.

Superintendent Loeto Ramabokwa said they received a call from a man at 7pm hours on Sunday informing them that his son had drowned in a swimming pool. According to Ramabokwa the incident reportedly occurred  a few hours earlier when the boy was playing outside. 

"He said he and his wife were busy inside the house and when they later noticed that the boy was nowhere in sight. They looked for him outside only to discover his body floating in the pool," Ramabokwa explained.
