Let them have Khama, court tells DPP

The state has been given 30 days to avail statements of President Ian Khama, Vice President Mompati Merafhe, ministers Daniel Kwelagobe (Presidential Affairs), Ndelu Seretse (Defence and Security), Phandu Skelemani (Foreign Affairs) and others who the State is going to use during the trial to Nchindo's lawyers.

Nchindo and his co-accused facing 36 corruption charges argue that the documents they are seeking are vital to the preparation of their defence.

When the prosecution refused to release them, the defence said the State was in breach of section 10 of the constitution guaranteeing the accused the right to a fair hearing.
