Treading carefully with the people’s project this time around, Umbrella for Democratic Change National Executive Committee's (UDC NEC) decision not to suspend the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) from the coalition shows lessons learnt from the past.

It appears UDC has taken some lessons from the infamous Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) expulsion in tumultuous 2018.

UDC that year announced that it had suspended one of its coalition partners, BMD and the latter was given time to reflect.

BDP primaries leave a lot to be desired

The BDP as a party known to have ample resources has always held its primaries well in time, but this time around that was not the case.
