The standoff between the Kweneng Landboard and Ledumadumane residents has taken another twist as residents threaten to return land compensation packages unless their grievances are heard.

In an interview with Mmegi yesterday, councillor for Mmopane, Phagenyana Phage said that residents are fed up with the landboard's deceitfulness, and have since decided to return compensation money in protest. "I, as their councillor, want to lead them in returning the money and demand that the landboard sticks to what was agreed," he said.
