�Leave Khama alone or die� � MP warned

Parliament was brought to a deafening silence yesterday when the Member of Parliament (MP) for Francistown South Wynter Mmolotsi revealed that he received a death threat from fellow MP Guma Moyo.

“Madam Speaker, yesterday I asked a question about former vice president, now President Ian Khama’s sabbatical leave.  In the evening I got a phone call from Honourable Moyo saying that if I continue asking questions about Khama I will die,” Mmolotsi told Speaker of the National Assembly, Margaret Nasha.

The Speaker immediately advised him to report the matter to the police.  She cautioned that a threat-to-kill is a serious offence that should not be taken lightly.
