FRANCISTOWN: Local journalists should press relentlessly for the passing of a Freedom of Information (FOI) law without delay, independent attorney and veteran politician Morgan Moseki has said.

Moseki was addressing journalists here as the guest speaker during the second leg of the commemoration of the World Press Day over the weekend. The day was celebrated under the theme, 'Difficulty in Access to Quality Information Undermines Media Freedom'.

Moseki said Batswana cherish living in a society that has constitutional guaranteed rights to know and be well-informed on how their affairs are being decided. Moseki further said that the availability of information was the cornerstone of a well-informed nation.
