Laughter session in court

FRANCISTOWN: "Silence in court," is a phrase that is obeyed without much ado by all and sundry that throng court sessions.

In a situation where some actions or what is being said calls for laughter, the gallery can only emit sniggers and titters lest they incur the wrath of stern court orderlies.

But on Monday, Acting Chief Magistrate, Lorraine Makati-Lesang seemed to have intentionally lined up cases that had rib-cracking effects. Even the court orderlies who were supposed to order the gallery to keep quiet could not help bursting out in laughter.
