Laptops, iphone stolen in Phakalane early morning raid

Broadhurst police are investigating a case in which thieves broke into the home of a Phakalane man on Saturday and made away with an iphone worth P23,000, a laptop valued at P30,000 and other properties of an undisclosed value.

The victim, aged 48, is said to have arrived home at about 02:30hrs and went straight to bed only to wake up later to realise that he had been robbed.

The robbers are said to have removed aluminium windows to gain entry into the house and helped themselves to the man's belongings. Superintendent Obusitswe Lokae of Broadhurst Police confirmed to The Monitor that a docket of burglary has been opened, adding that so far no lead has been established.
