Land grabbers find loopholes in lapcass

MAUN: Land grabbers have reportedly found loopholes in the implementation of Land Administration, Processes, Capacity and Systems (LAPCAS) project to register plots illegally.

A stakeholder meeting held by Tawana Land Board (TLB) at Centre Lodge about LAPCAS heard of suspicions of increased illegal land allocations since the land board started implementing the project in 2013. Community leaders attested during the meeting that people are allocating themselves plots at various wards in the village.

Headman in Botshabelo, Lekgela Tsheko alleged that the lands overseer in Moeti and Botshabelo is colluding with some residents for the illicit allocations.
