FRANCISTOWN: The defence and prosecution teams in the on-going land fraud case in which 32 people are accused, have reached a "now or never" agreement that Ursula Moloko Mokgokong should be in court on March 4 or the application for her warrant of arrest will go ahead.

Since the case began with the appearance of the 32 accused persons, two of whom are Lands Department employees, in August last year, Mokgokong has not appeared with the rest. There was no explanation for her non-appearance, raising fear by the prosecution that she has absconded. She is understood to be in South Africa, which, the prosecution believes, is her home country.

Botswana is merely her adopted country, the prosecutors from the DPP have alleged in their application for her warrant of arrest.
