Kweneng Land Board defies court order?

RAMAPHATLE: It seems the Kweneng Land Board defied a High Court order that temporarily halted demolitions in Ramaphatle yesterday. The order was granted by Lobatse High Court on Monday afternoon.

The order stated that Kweneng Land Board should put the demolitions of three plots that belong to the Dipheko family on hold, until they have submitted to the court explaining why the applicants (Dipheko family) cannot be permitted to occupy the piece of land currently in their possession.

One of the plots included in the court order was the first to demolished on Monday morning -  before the order was granted. The other plots were demolished yesterday when the Land Board staff and the deputy sheriffs returned to finish what they started on Monday.
