As with all men of substance, the last years of Kenneth Shololo Koma's life would not have been without controversy.

He had, after an illustrious campaign for the opposition spanning close to forty years, disappeared into the oblivion of ill health and questionable ideological sincerity.

I first met the man when I had abandoned the University of Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland  (UBLS) in the 1970s to actively promote the Southern African Students Movement.
