Kokorwe Gets Tough With Missing Gaolathe, Mlazie

Parliament had to "adjourn" for about 10 minutes of Friday as Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Baledzi Gaolathe and his assistant, Duncan Mlazie, were nowhere to be seen.

None of their cabinet colleagues knew their whereabouts and a Parliament officer had to be sent to go and look for them.  He finally came with Gaolathe whom Deputy Speaker Gladys Kokorwe admonished,  "Minister, what you and your assistant are doing is completely out of order.  This is not the first time you have done this," charged Kokorwe. 

The previous Friday the two ministers were not in the House but Minister of Education, Jacob Nkate, saved the day for them when he said that they had asked him to act for them.
