Gaborone Village Magistrate Lot Moroka has set October 30 and November 7 as new dates for the continuation of the case in which Debswana employee, Mmabatho Sekgoma, is accused of abducting a seven-year old boy without the consent of his parents.

The 39-year old woman from Serowe is alleged to have fetched the Standard Two pupil from Tapologo Primary School in Gaborone, claiming that the childs mother had sent her. It is alleged that she pleaded with the child to accompany her and to direct her to his mothers home. Instead, Sekgoma allegedly drove to a bush near the Gaborone Dam where she told the boy that his mother wanted to kill him and therefore she was trying to protect him.
