Khupe-Mogwe scoops gender honours

Botswana's first woman professor Serara Khupe-Mogwe last week received the overall award for her contribution in raising gender awareness in the areas of health and related issues.

Khupe-Mogwe received the top honours at a glittering event held at the Gaborone International Convention Centre on International Women's Day last week.

Hosted by the University of Botswana (UB) under the coordination of the Gender Policy and Programme Committee (GPPC), the first ever awards were meant to recognise women and men who have made significant contributions towards the attainment of gender equity through research, teaching and mentoring at UB.
