PALAPYE: President Ian Khama has implored delegates of Botswana Democratic Party Women’s Wing to recruit fellow women from other parties to grow the party. Khama made the appeal at the just ended three-day BDP National Women’s Wing Inaugural General Assembly held in Mahalapye.

He noted that communication and recruitment is key to the success of the party hence it is vital to register more people to the party especially women who still show reluctance to join politics.

“I urge you to use this meeting among others, strategise on how you are going to recruit new members into this party. Use new methodologies or platforms of communication such as social media, but also be mindful not to be caught up in unbecoming tendencies of using contemptible language or even attacking your own members,” he said.
