Khama To Address SADC Extra-Ordinary Meeting

President Ian Khama will urge SADC leaders at a meeting today to bring to an end the human suffering in crisis-torn Zimbabwe. The meeting will be attended by ageing Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe.

The Botswana acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dikgakgamatso Seretse told the Monitor that Khama will address the heads of states' meeting about the problems in Zimbabwe. "He will speak of course. This meeting is for the heads of states to be involved in moulding a better political environment for our people," Seretse said.

"People in Zimbabwe are suffering because people do not agree. SADC must listen to both parties...we want SADC to go to the core of the disagreement so that an all inclusive government will be established in Zimbabwe and bring normalcy and end the ordeals of the Zimbabweans," he added.
