In what sounded like an April Fool's Day prank' President Ian Khama finally bowed to pressure by firing the Minister of Educationand Skills Development (MoESD), Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi

The Permanent Secretary to the President, Eric Molale, disclosed in a press release yesterday that Venson-Moitoi has been given leave of absence from her ministerial duties. The release said the Serowe South MP has been redeployed on special assignment within the Ministry of Education in a strange cabinet reshuffle that produced a number of acting ministerial appointments.
