Kgosimpe School tops in Debswana awards

JWANENG: Kgosimpe Junior Secondary School (JSS) from Jwaneng was the toast of the night on Friday after scooping several awards during the Debswana Jwaneng Mine inaugural Diamond Dream Academic Awards.

The awards attracted 24 primary schools and four secondary schools in Jwaneng/Mabutsane region who battled with quality pass of grade A to B. Ruri Pheko from Kgosimpe paved way for his school by walking away with P6,000 after winning the best in English and Science.

Lone Nthomang from the same school added the cherry on top by emerging the best student in the region, bagging P5,000 cash, a trophy and a certificate. Three teachers from Kgosimpe; Keemenao Monare, Prudence Moepi and Ontlametse Keipeile, scooped best teachers awards and walked away with P10,000, P7,500 and P5,000 respectively.
