Kgafela rallies Bakgatla backing

Bakgatla Kgosi, Kgafela Kgafela has implored his morafe to support him in his bid to have the Botswana Constitution overhauled.

Addressing the Bakgatla on Saturday, Kgafela said though there might be some people among the tribe who bear grudges against the royalty over certain issues, most of them publicised in the media "we need to unite. As your chief, ke bopilwe ka nama. Ke kopa le nthuseng (Please help me)," he said.

Kgafela also implored journalists, saying that though he has had a thorny relationship with the industry (media) they should also come to his aid as his war to have the Constitution redone is not sectarian, but a national one, affecting all Batswana.
