He said there was an increase in the rate of collection following the issuance of summons to the defaulters in January 2014 and that since the issuance of summons, arrears reduced from P664 ,829.95 in December 2013 to P628,194. 63 in June 2014. He said this reflected a reduction of P36,635. Mooketsi said that the recent suspension of issuance of summons to defaulters has however had a negative impact in their collection efforts.
He further said 12 villages already have operational committees, adding that issues of childcare are now reported and dealt with efficiently. Mooketsi added that there are currently 12 cases have been reported, which include matters of child abuse, adoption and child custody.
The BDP as a party known to have ample resources has always held its primaries well in time, but this time around that was not the case. The first leg of the primaries was held last weekend, with the final leg being billed for the coming weekend. This time around, the BDP failed to shine in its primary elections.
