Kavis Kario arrived in Bobonong full of confidence as the favourite to win the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) secretary-general position race billed for Tsabong with ease.

Kario slugs it out with Shaw Kgathi for the party's coveted position.

It, however, turned out that he needs more than the endorsement of the party leadership to win.
