Judge to decide Matome's fate

Lobatse High Court Judge Steven Gaongalelwe will next week rule whether former Debswana Mining Company Group Secretary Joseph Matome is to remain in jail pending appeal.

The case has been set for February 28 when he and Garvas Nchindo will also know whether they would be granted leave to appeal to the Court of Appeal's next session.

Late last year, Matome and young Nchindo approached the High Court seeking leave to appeal and also that Matome be granted bail pending such appeal.
