Candidates who sat for the 2012 Junior Certificate Examinations (JCE) and the nation at large have no reason to doubt the validity of the recently released results, Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) Executive Secretary Dr Serara Moahi, has said.
Speaking at a media briefing to allay fears expressed following the shocking results, Dr Moahi said the results could not be deemed invalid just because there was a great number of candidates who received Grade U. When the results were released last Tuesday afternoon, the exams body had registered 4,996 candidates who had obtained the U grade. However, following queries the council had received by Thursday, the number has gone down to 4,091 candidates.
