Ipelegeng money a pittance, says Mayor

Gaborone Mayor Haskins Nkayigwa has called for more money and resources for Ipelegeng workers.

The mayor who was speaking over the weekend at a poverty eradication pitso held by his council said that there is need for more money for Ipelelgeng workers.  "These poor people work under the scorching sun which is not good for their health.

The most disheartening thing is the money allocated for Ipelelgeng is not even enough for us to buy them enough equipment," he said to the Assistant Minister of Local Government Botlhogile Tshireletso.
