Intelligence gathering vital - Motlhanka

Intelligence gathering is important for every police organisation, the Managing Director of International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) has said.

Senior Assistant Commissioner Kelebamang Motlhanka was speaking on Friday at Otse Police College during the graduation ceremony for 18 law enforcement officials from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region, who completed a two-week training course on intelligence gathering.

Motlhanka said successful investigation of crime requires the collection and effective utilisation of intelligence.Dubbed 'Southern African Regional Police Chiefs Cooperation (SARPCCO) Crime Intelligence Gathering Trainers Course, the course was organised to enhance the application of knowledge, skill and techniques for police intelligence gatherers.
