Inmate threatens to beat prosecutor

Botsi Kefitile, currently serving 22 years for armed robbery offences, threatened violence on state prosecutor Thato Dibeela when he learnt that he was about to be arraigned for a robbery case committed in Ramotswa sometime back.
Kefitile was appearing for sentence on two counts of escaping from lawful custody when he was informed of this new charge. In the heat of the moment he grabbed a glass of water and tried to throw it at Dibeela before a group of security guards restrained him. At the time of the incident, the magistrate Phatsimo Moipei had retired to his office.
