Incompetence rife in police service

FRANCISTOWN - Complaints of incompetence and lack of professionalism in the Botswana Police Service are said to be prevalent.

Lately members of the public have expressed grave concern over the police service delivery, characterising some of the junior officers as impudent and sluggish in their reaction to crime reports.

The other concerns are that the police have the tendency of unnecessarily delaying cases and that quite often police never give feedback to the public whenever cases are reported to them.
