The revised Act now includes landboards against the old legislation, which only listed central government, parastatals, statutory organisations and local authorities as entities involved in public procurement.

Oarabile Zhikwa of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB) stated that as land board authorities they are involved in disposing tribal land, which, by virtue of being in the boundaries of Botswana, belongs to government. Zhikwa said that the Act indicates that serviced and unserviced assets be purchased through procurement contracts. She was speaking at a stakeholders' workshop held at the Tlokweng Landboard premises yesterday.
