IHS loses 17 staff, students in 5 yrs

The Institute of Health Services (IHS) has over the past five years lost 17 members of staff and students, a senior lecturer has said.

Speaking at their Wellness Day in Gaborone yesterday, Lesego Mokganya said the victims' ages ranged from 20 to 51 years and that 10 were men whilst seven were women. The causes of deaths or sick leaves recorded at the IHS were unknown.

Mokganya said IHS had also lost days as a result of absenteeism, adding that in 2001, they lost days amounting to nearly two years.
