FRANCISTOWN: The newly-appointed Director General of the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC), Brigadier Joseph Mathambo has denied anything to do with benefitting from the alleged corruption levelled at his ex-wife.

When Mathambo was approached for comment, he said he only heard that the case was closed some time back but he never handled the matter.

“But, I can tell you one time when I was on vacation from the War College in China, I was summoned to the DCEC about the matter. Unfortunately, I had no idea. It was also around the period my wife filed for divorce from our marriage.”
