He said that there are many examples of oppressed nations in Africa who are getting less attention as is the case with Taiwan. His belief is that Botswana is not benefiting anything from Mainland China and that she stands to benefit much from Taiwan.
He said the country has all resources and its companies can invest in Botswana to create jobs unlike China, which he said "only sees us as the market for its processed goods". He said that Botswana buys some of the electronic goods produced by Taiwanese companies in Swaziland because Mbabane recognises Taipei.
