'I stabbed my girlfriend by mistake'

FRANCISTOWN: A resident of Tonota, Gaone Rasegole on Monday appeared before the Magistrates Court to answer a charge of bodily harm. Speaking under cross examinination before Magistrate Lindiwe Dintwa-Makgoro, Rasegole said that his witnesses were not before court because the said incident had occurred back in 2007, when they were still schooling and he had lost their contact details.

"I went to Tonota College of Education to look for the contact details of my witnesses, but I did not find them because they did not complete their  schooling there as they had failed and discontinued their studies, " he said.

Rasegole said back in 2007, he was having drinks at Lion's Den Bar in Tonota when he accidentally stepped on a man who became angry with him and threatened his life.
