I have no plans to 'unseat' Khama - DK

MATSHELAGABEDI: Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) chairman, Daniel Kwelagobe has vehemently dismissed allegations that he has hatched a plan to unseat President Ian Khama.

"I have worked with the current President"s father, the late Sir Seretse Khama, former presidents, Sir Ketumile Masire and Festus Mogae cordially. I supported them through and through," explained a visibly worried Kwelagobe, who is affectionately known as 'DK'.

Kwelagobe indicated: "At no stage did I come up close to thinking of mounting a coup. Who am I to coup Khama? Using which law?"
