The government has spent 28 percent of the national budget in the last three years to fund education, the Minister of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism Kitso Mokaila has said.

The minister said this is an illustration of the government's commitment to ensuring that Botswana is an educated nation by 2016. Speaking at the graduation ceremony at Botho College campus in Gaborone this week, the minister said that although government cannot do everything in terms of providing graduates with employment, it is committed to developing the country's human resource.  "What is important in any economy is the human resource.

People development shall always remain a priority," Mokaila said.
