How the strike has affected Phikwe

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Service delivery in most departments in Selebi-Phikwe have been halted as the ongoing public services strike takes its toll on the town.

During a kgotla meeting Thakadiawa ward councillor Evelyn Kgodungwe said that the council's Education Department is running short of 14 administration staff members who are on strike. She indicated that 11 teachers from Boitshoko Primary School and from Segomotso Primary School are also engaged in the strike.

Four teachers from Boitumelo, six from Reuben Mpabanga, seven from Phikwe Primary, four from Tebogo, three from Boswelakgomo and one each from Lapologang, Tlhabololo and Botshabelo Primary Schools are not working because of the strike.
