How recent rains left families homeless

BOROLONG: Families that fell victim to torrential rains that rampaged Borolong, especially Mpatane Ward, say they now have no where to go since their mud huts have collapsed.

The families, most of whom are unemployed and live in mud huts roofed with iron sheets, are now pleading with Good Samaritans to come to their rescue, especially  with shelter.

A single mother of seven,  Oteng Molepo (35), stood before her two now crumbled traditional huts, which were a source of shelter for them all when Mmegi visited the area on Monday. Molepo said the first hut succumbed last week Thursday while the other one, which the whole family of eight had sandwiched themselves in, gave in on Sunday.
