Hotels agog for 2010 soccer fiesta

FRANCISTOWN: With just six months before the World Cup commences, Botswana's tourism Industry is gearing up to cash in on the soccer extravaganza.

With half a million spectators expected, the mega event presents significant tourism business opportunities, thus the need felt in the host country's neighbours like Botswana to supplement South Africa.

The Manager of Adansonia Hotel here, Tony Chatadza, says they are adding 60 rooms to the existing 73 standard, deluxe and executive air-conditioned, wall-to-wall carpeted rooms to be ready for the world's premier football fiesta in June next year.
