Hospital structures collapse as LTC snoozes on job

LOBATSE: A hospital is supposed to be a place where minimum disruption of services is kept to the bare minimm, but not with Athlone Hospital whose dilapidated infrastructure has led to an impassioned plea from the town’s lawmakers for immediate attention.

Boswelatlou ward councillor summed up the mood of the councillors during a recent full council meeting when he asked whether people should wait for an accdet to happen within the premises of the hospital.

“Are we waiting for accidents to happen within the hospital before we attend such?” Themba Stimela queried, obviously under pressure from his constituents.
