Labour and Home Affairs Minister, Edwin Batshu, led his staff on a community outreach programme last Friday at Childline in Gaborone. Batshu and his staff repainted structures, weeded the garden and levelled the children’s playing area.

Addressing Childline staff during the outreach, Batshu said the ministry was humbled and honoured to assist vulnerable children. The minister described children as “a gift from God” and “tomorrow’s leaders,” saying it was important for communities to lend a helping hand wherever needed. The Labour and Home Affairs Ministry first began helping Childline last June, repairing structures and donating toiletries and groceries.
