High Court Sits In Phikwe

SELEBI-PHIKWE: An axe said to have been used to kill a primary school teacher was put before the High Court session sitting in Selebi-Phikwe as an exhibit.

The case involves the murder of Tlhabololo Primary School teacher, Dineo Nare. She was allegedly killed in her apartment in January 2006 with an axe. Twenty witnesses had been called to testify.

The court heard that on the fateful day, the deceased called her parents to Ikageleng Customary Court to break-up with her boyfriend, Sam Setume, who is the suspect in the murder. A state witness indicated during examination-in -chief that the Customary Court ordered Setume to fetch his belongings from Nare's house that day but he only took the clothes and left the furniture.
