Heavy security for three murder accused

Security was tight at the Mochudi Magistrates Court on Friday as murder accused trio of Kegone Victor Sebina (40), Aubrey Nkuna (35) and Thabo Stimela (46) appeared for bail applications.

However, only Sebina left the court unchained as he was granted bail. The three had entered the court in style under a heavily armed SSG escort while a police helicopter hovered over the court for the duration of the proceedings that lasted for more than two hours.

After numerous brushes with the law in the past, Stimela has quite a reputation. He is an ex-convict who was involved in a 1997 heist in South Africa where R17 million in cash was stolen. He eluded the law in Botswana after being arrested for possession of a stolen BMW in 2008.
