Health Ministry Warns Against Xango Juice

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has warned members of the public to be aware of the product called Xango (Mangosteen) juice sold under the claim that it is a medicine and can treat many diseases.

In a press release issued on Thursday, the director of health services, Khumo Seipone said the public is notified that there is a product called Xango (Mangosteen) juice, which is said to have medical properties and is promoted to treat many medical conditions.

It further reads: “The public should be aware that the product is just fruit juice blend and does not have proven medicinal properties and therefore cannot be marketed and sold as such”.
