Has Khama raised BDP credibility ratings?

FRANCISTOWN: Once again Botswana has reafirmed her democratic credentials to the outside world by successfully holding her 10th general elections in a non-violent and conducive atmosphere.

In spite of a few hiccups experienced here and there, Botswana takes pride in providing exemplary leadership to her peers in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region and beyond for conducting credible, free and fair elections.  Thumps ups to all the political parties, big or small, the victors and the vanquished and other stakeholders for the spirit of patriotism showed to the motherland - a spirit that ensures that Botswana remains a responsible member of the international community.

While everybody deserves accolades, from the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) for a convincing victory, opposition parties for being gracious in defeat, to ordinary Batswana who turned out in large numbers to exercise their constitutional right to elect the new government, we however, think that the man of the moment is none other than Ian Khama.
