Halfway point in Masilo rape trial

The last two of the State’s four witnesses are scheduled to start testifying tomorrow in the matter in which Thabo Masilo is accused of robbing, raping and brutally assaulting a woman in Phase IV two years ago.

The state will call a medical doctor who examined the alleged rape victim and a Mogoditshane Police investigating officer as its final two witnesses.

Thus far, the complainant in the case and her brother have already testified and undergone intense cross-examination from Masilo’s lawyer, Kgosietsile Ngakayagae.
