Gumare man arrested for defiling boy

FRANCISTOWN: Police in Letlhakane have arrested a 30-year-old man from Gumare for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old boy.

When confirming the incident, Letlhakane Police Station commander, Superintendent Michael Maphephu said they are investigating a case of defilement in which the man allegedly violated the teenage boy from Shakawe village.

He said the relationship between the two began on July 10 following the duo meeting on Facebook. They dated online until August 10 when the boy visited the suspect’s rented place in Phase 1.
