Grilled by BDP caucus? That's news to me, says Serema

FRANCISTOWN: Ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) caucus has reportedly grilled Executive Secretary, Dr Comma Serema, over allegations of cheating in membership registration.

Mmegi is privy to information that Serema was summoned this week to explain to the concerned parties after the re-run of the Palapye constituency primary elections which Moiseraele 'Master' Goya won, beating Health Minister Professor Sheila Tlou by 482 votes. But contacted for comment yesterday, Serema dismissed the allegations that the party caucus had grilled him. "I am not aware of such things. By the way, remember a caucus is an internal thing," said Serema.

In an earlier interview on Monday, Serema dismissed rumours within the party that there was someone at the party head office who was reportedly 'bought' to manoeuvre the party records especially the registration process.
